Annually, in the last month of the year the Euromold, a trade fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development, takes place at the exhibition fair ground in Frankfurt am Main. In this year the fair attracted with 1523 exhibitors from 38 different countries more than 60.000 visitors from all around the globe. Due to the topic of this fair and having a “home field advantage” it was very important for us to expose us and our race car. Additionally we had the chance to have a closer look at the cutting-edge technologies; technologies which might occur in the upcoming evolutionary steps of the Ribbed-series.
In a close cooperation with our sponsor Demat, which is maker of the Euromold, we have developed a concept for presenting our race car, which is not just an audio-visual catcher than more a crowd puller.
Therefore the Ribbed 08 was converted into a race simulator shortly before the fair took place in which the visitors could experience motorsports. We have chosen the Hockenheim Ring for our “test drives”, because this race track is the venue of the Formula Student Germany and it brings the driver close to the well known “Schumifeeling”. The additional sound of a formula race car completed the setting and turned a part of the exhibition hall 6.1 into a pit lane where visitors were invited to stay for a minute. All over the four days we had a lot of opportunities to chat with people as well as getting in touch with contacts from the industy. The Careers4Engineers took also place during the last two days of the Euromold not far from our stand. The Careers4Engineers is a “mini fair” where companies exhibit their business and offer work experiences and jobs to students as well as to young professionals. There we had interesting contacts, too, which will be deepened and improved in the following days and weeks. We had additionally chances to talk shop with different Formula Student racing teams because the Euromold included a FSG arranged workshop dealing with “casting, rapid prototyping and composites” at the 6th of december. We were really happy to deepen the contakt to the “Balitc Racing” team, the Formula Student Team from the University of applied sciences Stralsund. It was a great and intersting experience for us to exhibit along with the first Formula Student Team from Germany. It was an informative fair for us and we are looking foreward to exhibtit at the Euromold fair in the following year. ![]() |
